I hear a lot of Mercedes-Benz fans saying that an SLR McLaren is almost a Formula 1 car dressed with MB style... I've always wondered how much it really resembles the construction of a real race car.

I have driven an SLR on a road track while I was employed with MB.
The SLR is a powerful machione with a huge amount of HP, big brakes and a very tight suspension.
It is a close second to an F! car.

Very exciting to drive.

No chance,,, it just weighs too much!! F1 cars change direction fast because the balance changes so quick, a road car would feel like a pig even if the power to weight ratio was the same.
