I have a huge collection of vintage 3 3/4 Gi Joe figures that I have been collecting for a while, about 500 loose figures w/ accesories. I was thinking of selling them but wasn't sure if I should group them into one huge lot, several small lots, or just try to sell them individually. What seems to be most profitable way?
Like the old saying goes, "A picture is worth a thousand words". Take clear up close pics. You may want to research the auctions on some of the items you have and see what they are going for. If you have hard to find figures or vehilces that are in good condition, you may want to consider submitting them to AFA (Action Figure Authority). They will grade them and send them back to you in a achrylic case. That you will know exactly what you have and how much it's worth. You can also check www.gijoepriceguide.com. They have price listings for loose and carded figures between 1982 & 2002. That way all your low value items can be sold in groups and your high value items can be sold seperately. Ultimately it will depend on what someone is willing to pay.
If you have the time and patience selling individually will net you the most money and the most work. If you want to sell the collection as a whole the best thing to do is to sell it to me! : )
