Hi everybody, i have a question. I am looking to buy a new set of irons. I have narrowed it down between two sets. Titleist 804.OS or TaylorMade r7 Draws?? I can not choose! I need help.....please tell me which set would be the better buy and why!!!
Thanks, and check out my clubs i am trying to sell. Im selling Ram G-Force irons 4-9 and a Ram Putter that came with the set, and Spalding Accu-Flite irons 3-PW!!!! If there are any takers let me know!!!!!
This is very subjective...both sets are good clubs....I have owned Titleists but no TaylorMade irons ( I own three TaylorMade Rescue Mid hybrids and really like them)...yesterday, at Golfsmith in Houston I hit a set of TM R7s with a stepless shaft and WOW..I was only checking-out the grips to see if I liked them...found out the irons were great, too!
Either way it is up to your sense of feel and confidence at address. A lot of it is mental...

Both sets are very good and are designed for a mid handicap player who is looking to improve. I would always recommend trying out both of them head-to-head to determine which one fits you best.
The R7 Draw irons will have slightly more offset and might help a slice or fade better than the Titleist 804.OS...but both would be a nice upgrade!
first get professionalyy fitted that may decide gor you i beleive and i play titleist 690 blades musc. back design try a demo day near you and go hitt all the clubs out there see which one you like for feel, looks, price, quality, but make sure you get fitted for them by a pro
Taylomade makes a wonderful product. I would never own a set of Titleists. The guys that live around me and play Titleist are also the biggest elitist d!@ks on the golf course. I am the kind of guy that would rather play with 2X4s carved into iron like shapes than be grouped with the golfers that give golfers a bad name.
I've been a Taylormade fan since the day I started playing. I currently own a set of Taylormade r7 draw irons when it first came out. It's very forgiving and I find that it has helped my game and I actually hit farther with them. I love my driver and fairway woods but my irons have always challenged me. So getting a set that worked for me was important. Do you have friends who own a set? Maybe they can lend it to you for a day. Play a course with them and then decide for yourself. Good luck! Happy golfing.
