All Garmin buyers on E Bay should take notice of Garmin's statement (on their web site) that ANY E Bay (Garmin) item DOES NOT HAVE ANY WARRANTY. And....For example, a BRAND NEW Garmin 760 from Amazon is now less than $200.00 with a full guarantee and the latest maps. Many of the "remanufactured" units come up as "previously registered" with Garmin, making warranty registration and updates not available on top of their policy about E Bay purchases. This "no warranty" on E Bay items is quite common with most manufacturers.
I must dissagree, I have purchased 2 Garmins here on eBAY. I have been able to get updates free from garminfor the first year, then purchase updates each following year. They do require a sells receipt, which only a few Ebays sellers offer. And I did send one in for repairs with no problems getting it repaired , agan they required a sales receipt.
I sell only new Garmin GPS systems that do carry the manufacturer's warranty and I do provide a sales receipt to customers with delivery. I have several Garmin units available currently and usually always have several different models all of the time. I have been selling Garmin 765T, 855, 265WT, and 260W. The 765T is by far the most popular and I own one as well, its awesome! But you are correct, there are thinly disguised refurbished Garmin GPS for sale at new item prices, just have to be careful and know your SELLER! I don't buy or resell anything refurbished.
