I know next to nothing about gps receivers. I need to buy one for a college student. It needs to be simple but reliable and since we all know that "stuff happens" to college students, I don't want to spend a great deal of money. Thinking about maybe a Garmin c530. Any comments or suggestions?
I just bought a Garmin nuvi 360 and am very happy with it. I too, am new to the GPS world, but this unit so far has been very nice and easy to use. I would recommend one with text to speech (TTS) though. That's a lot better than a generic "Turn right in 500 feet" command. I hope this helps.
