Kramer, fender and ibanez are mine.Although I do like those Gibson Les Pauls!!!!!
Useful Funny
I wish I had every guitar I have owned. ES355TDC, Humingbird, a Country Gentleman, a nice Strat and some others.
Being an idiot, I always traded to get something 'better'. I have ended up with a PRS I got in '92 on trade & cash.
Late last year, I finally bought my dream. Went shopping for a Martin D-28 and compared with the D-42 (slightly used) at the store and for the same price. The bling and the forward shifted bracing and the strings vibrating the wood on the D-42 got me and I am in love, Daily.

In electric, I own : 2 Jacksons, a 79 Dean V, Gibson Les Paul Studio, Epiphone Les Paul Custom, Prophecy SG, Fender Strat, Fender Squire Strat & a Kramer Rhodes V.
My Favorite(s) are the Jacksons by far! but love them all for different reasons.
In Acoustic, I own: 12 String Charvel, 6 String Dean, 6 string Ibanez, and old 6 String Fernandez.
My Favorite is the Dean, but I use them all for different applications.
I also own a Dean Edge 1 Quilt Top Bass.

ruback911 wrote one of the most intelligent things I've ever read concerning guitars: "The name on the headstock is no longer important to me. Its all about how a particular guitar feels to you." Amen, my friend. There are way too many guitar snobs out there, as well as close-minded types that will play nothing but the most well-known models because that's what rock is all about to them - that particular look or sound. My current favorite is an el cheapo Dean Playmate bought used on eBay; it looks nice, it feels good and it's worth much more than I paid. My next favorite is one I should have never sold, a Fender Squier Strat StageMaster. It was a nice cream color w/ locking Floyd Rose trem and reverse headstock. I still miss that guitar.

For electric:
Fender Stratocaster is pretty versatile and plays mean in just about any genre.
Acoustic:
Ovation, but the higher end series like LX.

There are a bazillion guitars out there that are worth playing, it's not always about the price tag, whichever one feels right. I've played squire's that feel better than some PRS's and Gibsons.

PRS McCarty -Someday I'll own one :(

1984 Fender Strat MIJ - awesome tone, wood playability. It's the best guitar that I own, yet never use it, cuz of the single coil pickups. ( I prefer the humbuckers)... oh, and the original pickups are starting to go bad, so I need to take it into the shop.

My main guitar is a Schecter C-1+ that I picked up a few years ago, and swapped the pups out with Seymour Duncans. It's awesome. It's my PRS, without the hefty price tag.

My personal favorite electric guitar maker is Jackson, of the electrics I own, the Jacksons just feel better and ESP would be my second manufacturer choice. For acoustics, I like the playability of a Washburn and the sound of a Gibson
