I have a huge amount of EUC 18 -24 mos. Gymbo outfits I bought for my daughter and I want to auction them off. I was wondering if it's better to sell my Gymboree items separate from the other store brands like Carters, Children's Place, Faded Glory, Okie Dokie??? This will be my first time really auctioning a lot of items and I just wonder what the general consensus is.
I would put your Gymboree items seperate from other brands. I would list outfits if possible, I think used items sell better in complete outfits, just my opinion. You also have to include the line Ids in your listings. Last year when I was new I didn't and got almost nothing for them. People search by the line. Good Luck Jennifer
I agree...list your Gymbo seperate from other items. If I'm looking for a Gymbo item, I don't usually want other brands (unless it completes an outfit - then, include it). Definitely list by outfits, if you can. I have found that those auctions do much better than separates. Also, definitely include the line name. Check Gymbohaven's site (just add the .com) to look for line names using the year on the item's tag. Remember that you usually have to search the year on the tag and the following year to find the right line. Finally, if you have a lot of items from the same line, you might consider doing a Lot...people love Lots! All this work takes a little time, but the payoff is well worth it! Good luck!
For me I list Gymboree items either as outfits or as individual items. I try to stay away from the BIG lots tho cuz I personally think that you lose out on more money doing it that way. As for the other items, I would put those together and make them into a lot because people are more than likely to buy those items in larger quantities. It works for me. Hope this is helpful!
I love to sell lots!! It is so much more rewarding to get one payment of $150-$250 then to get individual payments of $5-$20 I do mixed lots of Gymbo and other brands, BUT I NEVER mix cheaper brands with expensive brands THAT IS THE KEY to making money on lots. If you mix Wal-mart brands with Gymbo YOU WILL LOSE money. People don't want the lesser brands. If you had a Gymbo lot with Janie & Jack, Old Navy, Gap, Etc you will have a very sucessful lot. This is from my experience. I am now selling some of those lesser lots that my kids got from relatives for birthdays and holidays, and I am not making much. I do not look to buy these lesser brands. I kind of go with what I would buy, and I would not buy Faded Glory or other lesser brands individually or in lots. I used to love these brands as much as the name brands, until I found out the hard way that they have no value what so ever! You can buy a Faded Glory outfit at Walmart cute as can be for $11.50 you can take that same outfit and stick it in auction and you are lucky to get $2.00 for it. I never was fussy about brands when I first started up my ebay business, now I have no choice. Its the only items that make good money.
I agree the lesser brands don't sell and make your auction look cheap. Gymbo, Gap, etc. together are good. We take the cute but lesser brands given to us to the consignment store. We have one that buys out right so I never have to see the stuff again lol. This works and I stick to the better stuff on e-bay.
