Good question. I don't know how unless they are wiling to break even or take a loss to get traffic into their stores or auctions. Rignt now, I have a hard time even selling the stuff I got on sale for a profit!!!!
I suppose you could if you buy the hot items. It is hard to guess wich one but if you keep in Gymboree shopping bag each clothe of Petite Mademoiselle and look everyday if any of their sizes are missing. If the people are ready to pay the full price it does means the item will be succesful. An example is the pink silk jacket from Ice cream social, it was sold out even so it never been reduced. Also the green polo shirt from Tennis Match or the grey velour Ballerina top from The Ballet.
It could be efficient but it is a long and boring job !!! Wishing you all the best, Catherine.
The ladies in my gymboree store will take a 20% coupon with the gymbucks, SHHHH, don't let anyone know:) Combined with the gymbucks someone can make a little money and the buyer saves a little.
Hi, I sold a outfit in this line and made a few dollars. I had got the skirt and top for 15.00 each and the hair ribbons at buy one get the other 50% off. Also on this day I bought these clothes, they had an additional 25% off your total if you filled out a charge card application.
Most likely the sellers may be Gymboree Employee's. Thats my guess. For example, Gymboree's new line is Classroom Kitty, it doesn't go on sale until July 30th, but they already have some on Ebay. This is most likely since the stores get their new line, days sometimes longer before it comes out. Gymboree employee's also have a 40% discount and also get 50% off employee days, which just happened recently.
Here goes...Buy your sale items (use coupons if you have them) during Gymbuck earning periods (spend $50, get $25 in Gymbucks...spend $100, get $50 and so on... ). Buy new lines during Gymbuck redemption periods (get $25 off $50 spent, $50 off $100...and so on...) even full price items will be half price! Just make sure you have enough of them to cover your purchase...they calculate with the RETAIL value, and subtract Gymbucks during checkout. (It doesn't take many full price items to add up to $100 (or whatever your threshold may be), and coupons are "conveniently" timed to expire a week prior to the redemption period.) If you get a new line item for half price that's super cute, someone without any Gymbucks to spend will gladly pay near retail for the item and know they saved a few dollars too! You will be the one that gets the profit over and above the 50% you paid (minus ebay fees, of course). The only really hard part is knowing what items will be hot sellers/sellouts! (I know purses usually sell out very quickly.) You should go to gymboree.com and sign up for emails and coupons if you haven't done that already. I hope I explained everything okay.
(Note: I know how to do this from lots of research, however, I don't do this myself because it takes a big investment to really make it worth your while. I've seen people with over $1000 in Gymbucks to use, but they usually had to shell out double that to get them, plus spend half again just to use them! I, personally, don't have the time or money to invest in something of that magnitude.) :) I hope this helps...good luck.
