I don't know how many of you use paypal for shipping, I just started and love it!! I was nervous to do it and thought it would be difficult, but it is very easy!! I also use the delivery conformation and that has been a blessing. I have had a string of buyers lately tell me that their package never arrived and I love being able to track it, to the minute!! I had a buyer (in the US) buy something from me and I shipped it like I do everyone else, but the person claims after 1 month they never received the item. This was before I used the tracking service so what could I do??? I had to refund her the money and am still waiting to see if the item turns up. So lesson learned all US packages are shipped through paypal with tracking info. Internationally though I use first class with no tracking, so I guess untill an international customer says they didn't get their item I'll stick with that. I also had a person leave me feedback saying that she had postage due with her package, it was only 17 cent but she left me feedback stating I sent it with postage due, I refunded her 17 cent but now it's on feedback for all to see. Has anyone ever had this happen? I always weigh my items and thought that it was right, I have a scale that I bought on ebay. Today I had the postal lady check all my packages and they were all correct, so who knows. Any advice is helpful.
Thanks Jen

Hi I ship first clas with stamps.com and they give you delivery info and tracking numbers. So for me it is woth it to pay for this service.ALSO with first class international, once you pay an put the info into the system you can print and use a stick on shipping label! you don't have to place it in that special folder.Stamps.com is really a good option for me. I don't us pay pal anymore

I always use the postal service, just because I don't want to incur the additional cost of other services which has to be made up in price. It may have just been an error when you shipped the package. I would suggest that tyou take a highlighter and underline where it says delivery confirmation. I have had a package with confirmation, and was never scanned in at the postal hub. It never made it and I was out. My carrier recommended the highlighter and it has worked like a charm.

HI Jen: I had this happened to me once, it is funny because it was also 17 cents in my case. I was curious to see if is the same buyer, but it wasn't. My customer left positive feedback, said she loved the top but that postage was overdue, and also added: Please refund the 17 cents. So I did. I added a note at the feedback by replying to the comment, appologizing for the error and said I will refund the 17 cents. since I just bought a new scale on ebay at that time, I assumed it wasn't accurate. I even contacted the seller of the scale about it. But I never had a problem with any other packages although I've been using the same scale. So who knows what happened? I don't think your feedback will be affected by that one comment left, specially since I see you sell a good amount of items, so that feeback will soon be gone from the front page, but I think you should reply to it, so that buyers will see you care and you are not ignoring a customer--just my oppinion. Also, if I would be in your place I would refund the 17 cents, just in case the buyer was indeed charged that. I wouldn't want to upset someone over 17 cents. It seems you got a good price for the top, it wasn't an auction that you made nothing on. Hope this helps! Oh, and I do use paypal also, and I love it! THe delivery confirmation is worth every penny! I didn't use it last year when I first started and I shipped quite a few packages without delivery confirmation. Luckily, everyone got their packages and was honest and didn't say they didn't get the item. I can't afford to pay for stamps .com or any of the other fancy stuff. Good luck!

I ship internationally and haven't had any issues though i know some sellers have. I keep a pile of customs forms @ home and fill out the form ahead of time. Once i mail the package at the PO i then email a copy of the receipt to the buyer as it shows date deivered, country to be mailed to and the customs form #. The number is unique to the package so is trackable. The buyers seem happy with this and it proves you've sent it. When you check the number at USPS.COM it will say received at whatever PO. It won't show any further info until scanned at point of destination. It gives me peace of mind that i can show i've mailed it.

Hi Christina! Thank you for your advice. I was shocked to learn that the package was short on shipping and that the buyer had to pay 17 cents. I did refund the buyer the 17 cent, it was a good sale and I wouldn't want to lose them as a customer. If the buyer would have contacted me first, I most likely would have refunded the whole shipping price of $3.00, since it was my fault. Hopefully this will never happen again. I've been having the post office check my packages, even the postal clerk was surprised when I told them. They thought the package should have gotten sent back to me.
Have a good night,
Jennifer

I've never sold anything on ebay but I bought quite a bit. a few times I've have received items with postage due and the funny thing is that it is always .17 cents. I never bother letting the seller know I feel that most the time I get a good deal and what in 17 cents.
