I have four screws and two rods holding my back together. I still ride. I had to do PT after my surgery and they recommended to me to do exercises that keep the core of the body strong. Before you start any exercises tho' ask the doctor if you can or should be doing any kind of workout or riding. BTW, I have a friend who walks with a cane because of a bike accident a few years ago. He still rides. Just sticks the cane into a place on the bike and climbs on.

I hope for the best for you.

If your surgery was recent I would hold out I know a lot of ppl that have had fusions and it took a bout a year to get able to get around you may look at things differant a year from now

How bout converting your bike to a trike
I know funds are tight but there are a few places that do it to help disabled people

If your tight with other bikers in your community they may even help ya out with it

Dont give up it is darkest before the dawn !!

Type at us anytime we pick on each other outta fun but we are a supportive neighborhood here

Sorry to hear about your back, I have a bad back but nothing like that. I know a guy that fell off a construction scaffold and was in real bad shape, said he would never ride again. He had multiple operations on his back along with therapy and after a few years he was able to ride again. He rides a trike and gets along pretty well. Hope your able to ride again someday.
