DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THE BOSE EQ FOR 901 SPEAKERS IS REALLY A MUST OR CAN A HI-FI EQ DO THE SAME JOB??? CONSIDERING THE FACT OF LACK OF DIGITAL INPUTS (STEREO ONLY FUNCTION BY ALL MEANS)IF ANYBODY KNOWS OR HAS A PAIR OF 901'S PLAYING TRHU A DIFFERENT EQ LET ME KNOW,I'M A LITTLE CONNFUSED .
Useful Funny
I have wondered the same also , but I heard the bose eq is like a 18 db boost (thats 50% more than a lot out there)
but the bose eq boosts signals that are needed to make a 901 sound good without knowing what the frequency is I think it would be a experament with the eq, (but its worth trying) .
I would get a good EQ that has a 18db boost I would try a RANE prosound type they have a 2 channel 15 bands per side thats only a couple inches tall (they make a taller one but its a $100 more) I bought mine for $25 on ebay and later sold it for $100 . One last thing I put a set of externall tweeters Radio shack #40-1310A on a pair of 901's and it helped a lot !
