Sup ppl just wanna see if i can get some tips..i bout a 95 hatch wit a fully built ls/vtec but tha shell is non-vtec and tha kid i got tha car from messed up tha wireing harness pretty bad nuthin work's right..my boy told me to take tha dash out and run a hole new harness and put a hole new harness on da motor..well wut do you guy's think i should do.....thanxx for your time ppl....
Look at all the wires one at a time then reconnect it correctly perferably solder them. If you do one at a time you shouldent have a problem fixing it as long as he hooked up the right wires the first time, usually when the wires are hacked together they just twist them and put electrical tape on them they tend to come loose when driving. The correct way to do it is purchase the correct harness for the swap .
Well like i said tha shell is non-vtec to begin wit and tha motor harness wuz vtec but he cut tha vtec wire and for some reason he cut tha cooling fan wireing all up too....tha cooling fan is hooked up to a on&off switch...when i turn on tha headlight da alarm go's off i got no dash light's and tha main dash harness wha it plug's into tha ecu is all cut&shit too...i just need some advice on wut should i do...Should i try to fix it or should i just take da dash out and put a hole new main dash harness in....i really don't want to get ride of it car is a beast but just tha wireing is hacked man..thanxx....
Get a new harness for it ,,, you will never have to worry about it again and it should solve most of your problems. the alarm must be incorrectly installed also I would recommend tearing it out an either re-installing it or replacing it with a new one.
Yea dat's wut i figerd i had to do..well i got tha main dash harness on order i am haveing a hard time finding a vtec motor harness....i wuz told dat a sohc vtec harness is da same as a dohc vtec is this true...
