In zombie/end of the world scenarios I like the scene where the "survivors" find the last niche of civilization and go crazy like kids in a candy shop. Ex: "28 weeks later" when they raid the shop, "Dawn of the Dead" (remake) when they have fun in the mall. It's that last bit of humanity to get out of your system before the gore hits the fan....
