You have probably heard them before, but here are some of my favorite horse & riding sayings:

- The hardest thing about learning to ride is the ground.

- Horse people are stable people.

- My horse is smarter than your honor student.

- I only ride on the days ending in y.

- My other horse is paid for.

- Were you born in a barn?

If your horses could talk, here is what they might say:

- Will work for carrots.

- Don't look at us, drive your car.

- Don't fence me in.

- You can build it (the fence), but we'll tear it down.

- We love the smell of hay in the morning.

Hope you and your horse have a great day!

My favorite refers to pairing a newly trained horse with an inexperienced rider: GREEN PLUS GREEN equals BLACK AND BLUE!

There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man. (Winston Churchill)

Horses allow us to see the world more simply and more compassionately. They have a magic that takes us to places in our soul we'd never discover on our own.

The cheapest part of owning a horse is the purchase price!

Horse Lovers telling themselves, I don't need another horse, I don't need another horse, I don't need another horse, and steadily thinking (well, it's only one more bale of hay, it's only one more when the farrier's already coming, it's only one more feed bowl) I don't need another horse.

How good do you bounce? Off the ground that is?

How about, "You can lead a horse to water, but if you can get him to float on his back, you've really goi something". OR Horses spook at two things--#1Things that move #2 Things that don't move.
