Hey Lorri,
I hope you getting this worked out. Our daughter had an aussie & LOVED it. But, the stirrups are a little tricky. I could help if I had the saddle in front of me. Unfortunately, with those type of saddles, it's harder to describe in words how it goes.

Hi Lorri,

You have to buckle the leathers so that that the numbers are facing out. Of course both should be on the same number and they should be rotated each time you ride because one will get stretched more than the other one because of mounting on the left one. Then lift up the saddle flap and underneath you will find a long hook.....just slide the leathers on the hook.
There will also be a little thing that you can lift up to keep them on. I usually don't use that because the leathers stay on pretty well. When the saddle & leathers are new it will be harder to do this because they will be stiff but it will get easier. Happy Riding!!
