He has been famous international before the tv show here in the USA. I saw an older comedy show when he was very young. It was right before House started their first season. I connected the two - and realize how sometimes we do not realize how famous others may be in other countries without us even knowing.
Useful Funny
He and Stephen Fry (Wilde, the detective in Gosford Park, etc.) were a fabulous british comedy team. Their episodes are still aired on PBS and BBCamerica, the episodes are now also available on DVD. Would never have believed Hugh would do drama as he was so successful at comedy, but I do agree no one else could do justice to House.
