My grandmother had a figurine called "Two Chicks." She has passed away and I remember it fondly from childhood and hoped to find out a little more on it. I move recently and the figurine was broken in the move and I’m having a hard time with loosing it. I also tried to super glue it back but it was in too many pieces unfortunately. Does anyone know about this figurine? It the "chick" girl feeding 2 chicks. Does anyone have this one for sale?
Hi, I have researched the 'Two Chicks' and don,t believe you have the right name.I do have a pair of hummels, one named 'Chick girl', and the other named 'Playmates'. The girl is sitting down with a basket, containing two chicks, and is feeding a third one that ison the ground. COULD THIS BE WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR? The 'Playmates is a boy with a basket of rabbits.
did u find ur answer? there is a hummel #57 Chick Girl. You may want to pick up the book " Robert L. Miller's No.1 Price Guide to M.I. Hummel Figurines, Plates Miniature, and More." if your bookstore doesn't have it you can order it or can get it on line. another one is Lucky's Guide. They have pictures of every hummel made and history. some are in color in luckys. I am sorry it is broken. they have professional restorers you may want to check that out. Hummels are a great way to invest and just to collect. My mother had a huge collection and she also did Hummel Lectures in the late 40's and 50's and 60's. alas she is gone now and so are the hummels. I am building my own collection now and i love it. Do you know what the mark on the bottom looks like. this is important because it tells you what period the piece was produced. I hope you find your chick girl for a good price. you can find one here on ebay and compare to see if its the same kind regards, Jane
