I prefer roaming through the woods. I understand that tree stand hunting works pretty well for white tail deer, but I hunt mule deer. I have tried it bow hunting, and yeah your right. I would fall asleep too. I have hunted from a tree stand for black bear. Better, but they made using bait against the rules, so that wouldn't work very well anymore either.
Even when I set and watch a area for animals passing through, I always think they might be just over the next hill, or in the draw that is just out of sight. I feel I have to move on, or miss out.
