I have a 2000 Wrangler w/ a 2.5 Four cylinder, is it practical to think I can put the 4,0 engine, trans, and transfer case out of a 90 wagoneer in it. I have the opportunity to buy a running wagoneer. I'm not afraid of a little cutting and fabricating. Thanks, Russ
I would think the best thing to do would be to just buy a jeep with the 4.0 there are so many out there, and truthfully the 6 cylinder gets better gas mileage than the 4. And if you get a jeep that already has the the 6 in it it will be a newer better motor.
It is very practicle that you could. You would need to re-use the engine mounts from the 6 cylinder or buy new ones. My question is that if you are going to do all of this why not put in a v8? Advanced adapters makes all kinds of kits to fit chevy, ford or dodge v8's. They are also cheap to come by.
