I had a buyer yesterday buy 100.00 worth of stuff from my store, (10 of the same thing) just "joined"ebay, no feedback. They sent an instant payment and paypal says it's OK to ship, confirmed address, but it also says the person is unregistered. Ebay sent an invoice telling them to register. I emailed the buyer and asked if they meant to buy just one package buyer responded "no I want all 10 my 93 year old mother really likes these, I have the paypal receipt and they excepted my credit card what more do you want"! I said you need to register with ebay. How does a person buy something on ebay without registering? Of course I will contact ebay and paypal but I still don't understand how someone can come in your store and "buy" all of a muliple listing item? Should I just cancel the transaction and block? Thanks for any help,
If PayPal says it's is ok to ship, then ship. You can buy I think twice on eBay with out registering.
Anyway from a business stand point if they bought from me and were not reg. and PayPal said it was ok to ship I would ship. My job is to please my customer first not eBay.
Thanks very much Fred and Dale Ann, I had no idea that you didn't have to register with ebay to buy so I just wanted to ask before I shipped. I did search ebay help but didn't come up with any results so I didn't know.
I do care about my customers, just have been concerned with npb and charge backs. I will ship the 60 pens out today and hope everything goes ok! Thanks again, Lisa K
The unregistered buyer was most likely shopping as an ebay "guest". They give potential users the chance to take a "test drive" or two in hopes they'll decide to register and shop-shop-shop.
