UGH!! Unfair negative feedback!...

And now the person is e-mailing me harrassing me while this is still being handled by PayPal claims...
teling me i'm lying and glad I said no water missing from snowglobe as you can see in pic half water is missing? WHAT?!!
It was in perfect condition before shipping and I stated no returns in my listing but was gracious enough to accept a return but buyer e-mailed back saying they are a huge collector of Disney items and the picture frame snowglobe is not worth the $$ to even ship back - well...I'm not giving a refund for an item I don't have or can't prove is damaged...
I never dreamed that I would encounter negative feedback this early in my ebay selling "career"...
oh well..hopefull people will click on view item and see that there is nothing wrong with the item and chalk the buyer up to being unfair.

I mainly sell jewelry but figured I'd sell some other stuff too to have variety starting out..

Has anyone else experienced negative feedback lately? and/or early in their selling start with ebay?

Thanks!

Patti
Useful Funny
Some sellers have multiple profiles to let them try new items or sell things that may get worse feedback than their main business.

I wouldn't want my jewelry business feedback to be affected by someone who was unhappy with some used clothes or a personal household item.

well....sorry thst this happened to you!

but, you have just learned the hard way that if you accept Paypal on your listings, you really cannot say "NO RETURNS" or "NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE AFTER SHIPPING"

you are 100% responsible.

good or bad - when you accept paypal, your buyer has 45 days from the date of receipt of the item to file a claim and get their money back - whether you state no returns or not

some buyers just cannot be pleased - no matter what you do!

sorry that you got a bad one!

But for future reference - Paypal usually sides with the buyer and they will refund it out of your account.

yes, I read the feedback she left for others as well!

that one is going right on my BBL!

she has this attitude with people who sell Disney items - I don't know what the big issue is for this buyer - in my area, just about every mall has a Disney Store! If you want to buy directly from Disney - she needs to go there!

Don't complain about sellers on Ebay! Nobody forced you to buy it! shheeeesh!

I bet there are 5 Disney stores withing 5 miles of my house!

So sorry this happened to you.

I counted close to 20 negs/neutrals that buyer has lobbed at sellers just in the last year alone. By the way, you're not the first seller she negged over a snowglobe - FB in both cases is very similar.

BBL update, here we come.

She is blocked for sure! - I was just the "lucky" one she targeted this time..I guess - it's a good thing my
recent buyer of multiple items left such good feedback! & pushed her negavtive one down a few... :)

Thanks again guys!

All The Best!!!

Hi , I am sorry to hear that you too are having difficulties with the rotten ebay FB system!
I recently had to Quit Selling and take a Long Break from Selling here on eBay due to eBays Very Poor Seller Help Services / NO Seller Proctection and Unfair FB and DSR's. Some Buyers lied on the Feedbacks, for no good reason. I message eBay /Paypal and informed them of the problem showed them my Proof they would not help me. I started a Blog here to vent and ask for help....eBay removed them. Then eBay went ahead and cancelled ALL my listings I had up. I wrote for Help and even Telephoned for help, but got No Help, just a run a round by them. So...I was forced to quit eBay Selling. I am very Unhappy about this, and so are my 2 Little adoped kids, who can no longer go to a week of Summer Church Camp this year, because of all this!

There are some recent Rotten Eggs out there who are just too Eager to Leave unwarranted Negative Feedbacks and Spoil the Whole eBaying process for Nice, Honest People!

You really need to contact ebay let your voice also be heard as I did and tell them that SELLERS NEED A BETTER OR EQUALLY FAIR FB POLICY AND DSR's SYSTEM....One that is more Fair to Good Sellers......right now it is all One Sided....in favor of the Buyer. If Sellers Banded Together / Boycotted Seling here on eBya because of this, then eBay would Have to address this Problem! What do you think???
In the past I haven't had much Time to blog here but now I do :-)....I have learned a Lot and Met Some NICE & KIND People too!!

Hi runswithastick,

Thanks so much for replying on my little rant on here :)
I am so sorry that all of that has happend to you! I am containg ebay to let them know of my displeasure but, alas, I am but a small voice against the howling wind - sorry for waxing poetic there - :)

Just as an interesting interjection, from what I understand PayPal is owned by ebay so...they are one & the same entity

As far as giving refunds to buyers automatically out of your PayPal account - so far - the funds from the sale of the picture frame/snowglobe are on hold - but the buyer still refuses to return the item despite my offer of a full refund upon the item's return.

So. now according to the lastes dispute claim notes, they have until July 2nd to respond but has sent me nasty e-mails which I am not replying to - but am archiving to send to ebay & PayPal & in the e-mails they almost admits that they are trying ot get something for nothing by wanting me to or rather pretty much admits they are trying to get something for nothing by demanding a partial refund (half the purchase amt. or a complete refund without returning the item! so...we'll see what happens - I'll keep you posted :)

But, I will absolutely let ebay know of my displeasure with this whole business...

Thanks again!

God bless!

Patti -

It is good that you are working with ebay/paypal, as it is very important that you take the time and effort to contact ebay (frequently) and let them know the circumstances under which the buyer neg'd you, because the way she did it is against ebay's dispute process. You might also point out this buyer's pattern of trying to extort full or partial refunds from sellers while refusing to return the products in question. That too is against ebay policy. These facts along with any hostile or threatening emails from the buyer will definitely help your case. In addition to corresponding with ebay via emails, it is advisable to pick up the phone and call ebay and/or paypal - daily if necessary - to check on the status of the dispute and to remind them of these facts. Now, this next suggestion may sound a bit overboard, but if the buyer does return the item to you per paypal instructions, I would video yourself opening the package in case she tries to send you a rock in a box. (LOL)

Good luck, and please keep us posted...and appreciate all those buyers who are honest and pleasant to work with. Thankfully those folks are in the majority.

Patti -

that buyer sounds like a nut!

well, Paypal won't take your funds automatically - the buyer has to prove to paypal with a tracking number that she has sent the watergolbe back to you first - doen't sound like shes willing to do that!

what I meant to say - was if she returns it - you do have to refund her!

keep your fingers crossed - sounds like she just had a bad day all the way around!

I recently sold a piece for $5.00 no biggie and the customer wanted to return it and explained why. I agreed but advised I would refund only after I received the necklace back, which is my standard return policy. Well, I never got the necklace back and he left me positive feedback. I guess they either wanted the beads or could live with the minor flaw. I have that happen before, where they want to return it but never do and no bad fb because of it. Others that have returned items and were refunded also left me positive fb. I try to be accommodating as possible but every once in awhile we get the crab apple that nothing will please them.

Good luck on getting your neg at least turned into a neutral if it isn't removed at all. Paul did!!!!!!

I gave a refund on an item and the buyer never returned it and they gave me negative feedback anyway so you never know. This feedback stuff is getting out of order.

Paul makes a REALLY good point, and valid reason to have more than one account.

So sorry to see this happened to you, so early on! I think we all have had a negative or two at some point (or at least most of us!), even if they've been removed or have dropped off by now. Don't let it get you down. But DO add them to your BBL!
