IF YOU THINK THERE IS A BETTER PRODUCT TELL ME WHY.......
Useful Funny
I don't think there is a better product, but we need to get some talk going here, the dogs are way ahead. My Dad got his JD contract in 1935, Deere pulled it in 1962. He got the fancy building thing pulled on him. This year another dealer near here got left behind. Rumor has it they want corporations to have several dealerships in the same areas nowdays. There goes the little man again. Dad passed away in 92 and I am still sorting and researching parts.

I just found this sight an Glad I did. I bought a good running 214 JD 2 days ago. Runs good I think the deck is going out. Mowing it sure makes alot of noise. I worked on alot of outher mowers never a JD.Is there anywere except a JD dealer to buy parts for the Deck? Thanks Paul in East Tx.

The older JD garden tractors were virtually indestructible. The 214 is an excellent machine as are any of the 200,300 and 400 series Deere’s. The noise you’re hearing in the deck is most likely the spindle bearings or a bearing in one of the idler pulleys. I worked at a John Deere dealer before I opened my own shop. We work one everything but specialize in JD equipment. If you need parts for your deck or anything else I probably have it or can get it at a better price than the dealer will charge

yes jd is eliminating small dealers that have supported them over the years. as the old saying goes , if you want loyalty buy yourself a dog. ( but you better feed him well ) the 214 is a great mower , i have found that this mower deck was well known to have excessive noise and the bearings be fine. as far as after market parts i will have to give it to jd , their jd brand parts are better than after market parts. a jd dealer locally charges nine dollars to place the order and another nine dollars to ship the order to our town which is 12 miles away. if you have a monopoly squeeze it. he also offers no discount but instead adds 15 percent to jd list price. ..
