If you want to see Johnny Depp in an amazing role be sure to check out Benny & Joon. Johnny's gorgeous eyes convey more than most people could say. A beautiful storyline. Great acting.
I loved Benny & Joon. It was so sweet. I didn't see it until recently. I was 8 when it came out and had no idea who he was. The first movie I remember him in is Pirates of the Carribean but I had seen him in others. I think the first time I had seen him was in Donnie Brasco. It's a great movie. I love one's that are based on true stories, but I didn't notice him then.
Benny and Joon is an awesome movie! No one could play Benny other than Johnny and be believeable. I don't think I have seen a Johnny movie that the part could be played by anyone else. Well maybe except Cry Baby. lol My favorite Johnny Depp movie is The Libertine. Not to many like that movie but I rank it so far my #1 Johnny movie.
I just finished watching Benny and Joon. Depp's character displays as magical and whimsical. As for the relationship between Sam and Joon, Sparks flew! This movie touched my heart. I can't believe I was 15 years late!!!
