Big KISS collector here.I have tons of KISS KOLLECTABLES and want to add one of the items I don't have yet ! THE MEGO's... a few ?'s, Do you think I should look for a complete set or piece on together ? Skinny, pumped ? What's the deal ? Are thier "boots legs" out there ? How should I go about NOT getting ripped off, what should I look for, what should I exspect to pay ? WAYSTEDKISS
i ve found it easier to buy them piece by piece. yes there are alot of boot legs out there. most say custom mego. get a good picture of a new set. look at the arm / leg bands. alot of times they are mismatched or just the wrong ones. for something semi decent, expect to pay about 100 bucks each. for something mint, your looking at about 800 bucks
I have multiple sets mint in boxes. I recommend buying them as as set.
a set mint in the boxes with Peter and Ace still having the plastic bands on their heads and the boxes in great shape you are looking at $1000.00 easy.
the muscle versions are much more common...it is hard to find a mint boxed set of the skinny version....they are out there though...
dont bother looking for Peter in the skinny version...they never made one due to rumors that he was leaving the band....
