I cant stand it anymore. I just gotta say it. I am sick and tired of Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer wearing Ace and Peter's costumes and make-up. I think it is a total disgrace. And Tommy singing Shock Me is a freaking JOKE !! Next thing, Eric will be coming out and doing Beth. When does it end ? As far as I am concerned, they are just 2 little dress up imposters. GO HOME FAKES !!!
I don't have a problem with Tommy or Eric doing what they are doing. Peter and Ace couldn't perform, so they got Tommy and Eric to do the job. Both of them are professionals, and get the job done. Something that others couldn't do. I have been a KISS fan since 1978.
I completely agree. I think it's a disgrace to replace Ace and Peter. You cannot REPLACE original members of a band. Could you ever replace John Lennon or George Harrison? Hell no! I think Gene & Paul are relying mostly on the fans who are so consumed with KISS, they'll go to the show no matter what imposters are wearing the make up. And Tommy Thayer? Did you know he used to be a stage manager for KISS? That he used to serve Pizza and Pasta to Ace & Peter after the show? Ha ha! How could this man ever replace Ace Frehley?
I agree with the topic as well. It is a joke. The "Farewell Tour" should have been the farewell tour! Check out an interview on youtube with Peter Criss from 2004. It's a three part interview. He tells you the real reason Tommy and Eric are being the imposters. Also, he tells a lot of other interesting things too about the Psycho Circus album.
I agree. Tommy is no Ace Frehley!! Gene is all about the MONEY! They are using ace's and pete's makeup so they don't have to change any of their merchandise. I think new characters would have been a lot better. I recently saw Ace in concert. I'd rather go see him than a FAKE KISS any day!!!
I saw Ace back in May. He was AWESOME ! I will still see KISS if they play, but I will settle for cheap seats. No point being up front anymore unless it's the original line-up. I dont feel like paying $150 for a good seat to see 1/2 of an original band and 1/2 dress ups.
They are even talking about going on with band after Paul and Gene are gone. The whole idea of the characters being an extension of the musicians personality is totally gone now but the millions are still rolling in. The Reunion Tour" and "Farewell Tour " should have been like a second makeup era . Paul's solo album was great, Gene's TV show is a riot ( Nick makes it ) . Thats enough for me, I'd sooner just have my old memories and collectables. They were the best & biggest band ever, long live KISS. RIP Eric.
If Gene and Paul are replaced, and the band continues to tour, I couldn't stomach it. It's would be like the rock version of Menudo. You remember, the Puerto Rican teen band in which the members were replaced when they got too old.
please stop complaining, if it wasnt for tommy and eric there would be no touring KISS. eric is a much better drummer than peter ever was, just remember these two [ace and peter] would have been quite happy to see KISS end when they left KISS in the early eighties but paul and gene held it together. then brought ace and peter back into the band for the real kiss fans, only to see them piss off again.after a few yearsagain... if you want to whinge about tommy and eric in the band you are a discrace to the real idea of KISS . KISS is bigger than any band member, whoever is in the kiss band is a rock god. long live kiss...
People.....some of you seem to forget that Ace and Peter left the band not once not twice but in one case three times....what does that say about them? Says to me that they don't care and more importantly their playing had gotten so bad it was embarassing to watch....Tommy and Eric do a great job....what chacter would yo have them be......oh maybe wizard boy or how bout obama boy? Do the new york yankees change their uniform when someone leaves the team? No! same difference....Rock on boys!
