I am partial to Discoverys because they are functional, and distinctive. My Land Rover is a '97 so I am prejudiced. It's my first 4X4, and though I'd like a vehicle that would never have a problem, and every shop could work on, and parts were cheap and available at the drop of a hat, and maybe more modern in design, and economical. I'll settle for what I have. The perfect vehicle isn't made. There's a lot of that in the world. Grass greener on the other side of the fence...(should you, do you) love the one you have?
Any Rangie. I have owned 2 discos...currently one now. I just bought a classic last month. So, that is my favorite right now. Prior to that it was my 99 Range. The Disco I have right now is a series1. Love it because it is heavy and powerful. The Disco I sold was a series 2...I sold it because it seemed less solid and was more peppy and sporty...I didn't really like it.
But, pretty much if it was made by Land Rover...I would most likely grow to love it.
