Sig is recognizing law enforcement, military, firefighters, & other heroes with $50 to $100 cash back, free night sights & a third mag under a new program similar to Glock's.
Do you know by chance know the start up date ??? I have a Smith 4566, and back-up is a Springfield XD40 , thinking to change things up. Do you have a SIG , and if so which model , hows' it shoot recoil etc ?
I have a Sig P220, 45acp, with nite sights. It is an excellent shooter and never had it fail to feed. I've run lead ball, lead semi wadcutters, jacketed ammo and of course hollow points with out problems. The gun has never let me down and is very accurate. I no longer carry it on duty as my department has now issued Glock Model 22, which is a good gun but I'm a 45 acp fan and still qual with the sig an my kimber for off duty carry.
TX, for the info motorking, much appreciated. I'm going to have to check one out. Anyone else out there know the start up date for the sale ??? I looked online and didn't see anything. - Drew MLM-AMERICA
Drew, Forgot to mention that I would not recommend the poly frames. The Sig rep came to our department to try to sell his guns to us instead of the glocks and he would not even show them. He said the alloy frames were superior to their poly frames. my personal gun is the alloy frame which I had hard chromed. (gun looks like stainless)
My Dept. had SIG, Springfield and Glock come out a few months ago. We tested them all out and finally decided on issuing the Springfield XD and letting Officers buy their own Glock if that is what they wanted. SIG talked about a LE promotion, but I have never seen anything about it. I had experience with my SIG P2340 and P220 and hoped that they chose a SIG, but there were too many Officers that just didn't like it. I never had problems with my SIG's. Now I carry a Glock 22 on my side and and Glock 27 in my cargo pocket.
