I find I am collecting glued Lladros and chipped Hummels. And yet I return! If you contact seller they always say the same thing "oh sorry, I didn't notice." I do my homework, check their feedback, ask questions. I pay instantly, that's my job...List the item truthfully, that's your job. I don't want to pay origional shipping and return shipping, and end up with 0. I don't want to be disappointed and made a fool of, I just want to win and pay for the "perfect" item you listed.Thankyou. Last Christmas was difficult, because everything needed to be gift quality...instead, I had to keep several items because of chips and mends. A Lladro isn't a bargain if it is glued back together. I left a negative feedback this morning, I didn't feel I should pay postage two ways on an item with a glued on ear!

You know it's a sin. It really is we take there word for it that it's new or in good condition. Then you bid nice on it and your all excited then you get it home ya there cracked or chiped and dirty. It's not right. He deserved a negitive feed back. Ebay should be harder on sellers esp if they don't play by the rules.

Same thing happened to me and the seller wouldn't pay shipping either way, would only refund money. Ebay didn't help that I could tell. Then when I got the refund from the seller, she dated her check with the wrong year (2009) and my bank wouldn't take it. I was out $36 for this episode when the figurine was missing flowers and had two breaks.

You are absolutely right to expect a "perfect" Lladro if that is how it's listed. I too have had my bad experiences winning pieces that were listed as "mint" and not receiving them in that condition. (Read my post on "Mint is mint is mint") As an avid Lladro collector, I know what I'm looking for in a "mint" condition figurine and I am totally baffled at what some people try to pass off as "mint". My first "bad" experience with the condition of a figurine made me be anal about asking the seller of an item I'm interested in bidding - "Is it in perfect, mint condition and are there any chips, dents or missing parts?- ad nauseum that the seller must think I'm a nut-job, but I tell them that I need to know because I don't want to get something damaged when I receive it and then be told "Oh, I didn't see it." I have sold some items, including Lladros, on ebay and I try to describe every item as best as I can and when I ship, as I have discussed this topic also, I try to send it squeaky clean so the person receiving it has to do nothing but admire it and be happy with their winning bid. I am with you and hope that you have more positive than negative experiences - ebay is a great place for those "finds" but only when they truly meet your expectations. Regards, Maggie
