Whhaaattt? No one in here is talking about episode 1 of season 4?? Come on peeps - it aired 2 days ago. There were plenty...PLENTY of things to catch in that episode. But by far the most interesting (to me) was to re-wind and take a good look at the man sitting in the chair when Hurley looked through the window. AHHHHH! Did anyone else bother to look? It was Christian Shepherd (Jacks Dad). I'm not concluding that Jacob and Christian are one in the same...just letting you all know he was in the chair.

I won't bother to list the 10+ other things as ultra fans can get to the bottom of things themselves. I just wanted to get a post up since season 4 is up and running.
Useful Funny
LOVED episode 1 of season 4! I was hoping for a little more, but there were plenty of hold your breath moments! When Chawlie was swimming up to that window in the police station, there was something written on his hand...did you catch that? I did see there was a person sitting in the chair in Jacob's cabin, but it was very dark on my tv, however I did go online and found out it was Christian. He has some big part in this I think, I possibly think that he is still somehow alive. LOL I am still hoping that somehow Chawlie is still alive! That new guy who came to visit Hurley in the mental institute and offered him an upgrade.... now where is he REALLY from? Very creepy! Got any hints to other things I should have looked for?

Ok since you asked :)
I did catch what was written on Charlie's hand..."They Need You"
As far are creepy guy that visits Hurley...I did catch that his name was Matthew Abaddon. Google that last name. Now are you freaked out?

There were lots of little things (not every little thing means something...but still) Like who was the guy filming when Hurley crashed his car. (it was his old boss...so was he driving there to go to work maybe? does he own that place? why have that be the guy right there when you crash your car) When Hurley said "I'm one of the Oceanic 6"...we all think we know it's at least Jack, Kate, and Hurley for sure...but would Kate be a free woman if she went back as national news? I would think she would still have to serve time in the slammer...she may have gone back under the radar. Like I said, these are little things.

Just joined the group and thought I'd toss my two-cents worth in! I'm curious to know how the other mental patient could see "Charlie" to tell Hurley that some guy was watching him! And the blonde sitting on the bench behind Hurley during that scene looks an awful lot like Juliet. The remaining three seasons of this show are gonna be a friggin' rollercoaster ride! Bring it on!

It was different from what he showed Desmond?
"They need you" wasn't what was written on Charlie's hand then.
It was "It's not Penny" referring to the people on the boat who said that Desmond's girlfriend Penelope had sent the boat to search for them. They showed it clearly in the recap episode. I didn't pay that close attention because I assumed it was the same thing.
Silly thing to do because it's LOST!!

Great start for the 4th. I really like how they went through in all the extra goodies in the recap we hadn't seen before. It was like a new episode. I've read that this season will be flash forwards rather then back.

Nice to meetcha people. It's nice to have a somewhat smaller forum to discuss this for now.

nightjester....yes "not penny's boat" is what charlie wrote on his hand when he drowned. When Hurley was at the police station in the flash forward and is being questioned....the cop leaves the room and Hurley looks up at the glass and saw an underwater scene (the glass breaks and water pours out). THAT is what I was talking about. That was Charlie in his black hooded sweatshirt and for a split second he holds his hand up and you can see it says "They Need You"

Just wanted to clarify :)
