I my question is simple -- "Can professional boxers complete effectively in MMA competition?" There's an ongoing debate that professional boxers would dominate leagues like UFC, Prde, etc. I'm a boxing junky, but I'm not sold on the opinion that pugilism beats MMA. Any thoughts?
Interesting...I'm not familiar with Karate Masters, but I'll do some research. Could you recommend any sites?
Standup is standup; ground is ground. In my opinion it's difficult to master both. Boxers definately should have an advantage on their feet, but most MMA fight end up on the mat...
I think boxers would have some trouble w/ the lighter weight gloves.plus the body spaceing is a problem i mean there is no cinching in mma plus headbutts r legal.i think boxers even good ones would be in trouble in the cage.
Hello. I think it all depends on the man? Boxers only fight in 1 range...Punching. There are 3 others? Kicking, Trapping and Grappleing. Boxers don't fight in these ranges. Now in a Boxers prospective range (Punching) yeah...they would stand a good chance in the UFC, PRIDE, ETC. Now, we have to remember their oppenents are Mixed Fighters. Man, I don't know...it be nice to watch...lol. I think a Fighter is a Fighter. I think the only way to know for sure if Boxers would last in the MMA is to have a professional fight between the two and see what happens .
