I am not very sure that the KEF Reference 107 is easy to drive. I have a pair together with various TDL, Rogers etc. I have had the previlege of owing 64 pairs of verious speakers and also solid state and valve amplifiers. I would say that It'svery difficult to find better than McIntosh amplifers if you take time to listen rather than hearing them. I've used Brystons, McIntosh, and other big names but I will just underlign something particular about McIntosh that I have never had the change to feel in sound stage delivery from any other make. However The Kef 107 have a major problem of excessive brightness at upper midrange-lower high registry which is one the main reason why I still have them but stored them in the atic for many years. I enjoy the privilege of having to decide of which speaker set I will listen to over the weekend. The miraculous solution I found few years ago that addressed the issue of brightness of the KEF 107 with a bryston and Mcintosh amplifier is to have ( don't lough at me yet unless you tryt) a NAD 3020 or APT Holman at the preamp stage. Very interesting twick.High frequencies becames silky and such a definition at upper midrange that you feel the singers in your sofa. It worth trying before spending unecessary bucks on so call High ends.
