I am a collector of Vintage Marantz Equipment. Just wondering if I can get
a comment on which speakers would be of the most benefit for the Classical Music Listener who owns a Marantz 240, a Marantz 3250B, a
Marantz 6150 ( w/ Ortofon Cart.) and a current Marantz CD 48? Comments are welcomed.
Useful Funny
I say look for the Large Advents from the late 70's.
Great speakers. My second choice would be some Polk's, same time period.

Regards,

Gary

My personal favorites, and my friends agree, are vintage Acoustic Research ARx8s series, that is, AR18s, AR28s, AR38s, AR48s, and the rare AR58s. The "s" is not plural and if it's not there, than it is a different speaker.

I own several pairs of each, except only one pair of the AR58s.
