I posted this on the Dallas Stars neighborhood and got zero response. I will try this site and see what you all think.
New to the neighborhood and I know that they are the Dallas Stars but I am a lady old enough to remember going to Minnesota North Star games. I came across a thermos type mug at a sale that has a picture of Bill Goldsworthy sand the Minnesota North Stars on it. Does any die-hard fan from the "olden days" think there is any value to this mug? I still remember watching him do the "Goldy Shuffle". Ok, if you are a kid, I know I am showing my age but just holding this mug is like a piece of nostalgia. If there is a value for this mug would it be improper to list it under the NHL memoribillia under Dallas Stars or would I get booted out of eBay for that - HA! We have the Minnesota Wild now but it just is not the same. Haven't watched a hockey game since they left Minnesota. Would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks!!
I'm too young to remember the "Goldy Shuffle" (my earliest recollections of the North Stars from the Bobby Smith, Neil Broten, Brian Bellows, Willie Plett and Basil McRae days) but it would be lame to put it on a “Dallas Stars” website. It’s worth more to you than anybody in Dallas is ever going to pay for it. On another note, as a former die hard Minnesota North Stars fan and a former Met Center employee, if you haven’t give the Wild a chance you’re missing out. You need to get to a Wild game (don’t watch one on TV, get to the game) the experience of a game at the Excel Energy Center doesn’t even compare to what the Stars once had at the Met Center. The building is full every night, the fans love their team and Wild management is doing something the Stars management never did….Build something that’s going to last. Trust Me….you need to get to a game.
I agree, I've been to a few of the hockey games at the met and a lot more games at the excel, I live in Northern Mn. but still get down to watch a half a dozen games live...unreal...that's all I can say, Don't get me wrong I love watching the games on my Hi-Def 46 inch plasma, I get cbc and versus, so I do watch a lot of games. But being at the excel energy center is truly unbelievable, They compare this stadium to the staples center in L.A. California...not a bad seat in the house. I just wish the wild would have done a little more at the trade deadline. More finesse less goons.
