I am looking to buy a scooter. I know nothing about them, I would like to learn which is the most reliable, what brand is good, anything to make me an informed buyer. Where can I learn about what to look for and what to avoid & where to buy, whether new or used??? SW
I got a wildfire 49.5cc scooter and it has been a dream. not American made but the parts are cheap and maintenance is easy. you change the oil at 500 miles the first time and 1500 after that. it takes synthetic oil which is about 8.00 but it only takes one qt. so it will last a while. the only thing you need to be aware of is the odometer is in kilometers not miles, but it comes out to two kl. to a mile. they get about 80-100 miles to the gallon and hold one gallon of gas. i highly recommend getting one you wont be sorry. i found mine for 950.00 due to the price going up because of demand. if your going to get one, now is the time.
