Nikon D3 Scam

I bid on a Nikon D3 yesterday and then saw in the listing to email esell77@gmail.com for buy it now for $1500. It sounded too good to be true, but I sent an email anyway. I received what looked like an invoice from ebay (aw-confirm@checkout-ebay.com) with a convincing ebay logo. But it instructed me to send payment via Western Union to an address in Italy. I forwarded the email to spoof@ebay.com to see if it was legitimate and ebay informed me that it was not. Evidently the person stole another member's I.D. and used it to list the item. eBay will never tell you to send money via Western Union. I did not tell the seller that I was on to him, so he may try to relist the item. I should have used the "report this item" tab to inform eBay but I did not, so he may try it again. Beware!
