Depending on the condition, a woody hayes is worth between $200 and $350 by itself, it has to be clear, dark, and not squeezed by other signatures. I saw a 1968 a while ago, and I think the top bid was $300, which was below the reserve. The think you are working aginst is that football sigs back then were usually done in ball-point, and don't hold up very well, plus most of the footballs no longer hold air, so they look bad to begin with. A no resereve auction, for a average quality ball should gross about $250 to $300.
