Hello, So I was wondering what kind of palm device you own. For me I own a Zire 31, a Zire 72, a Tungsten E2, a Treo 650 and a Treo 700wx. I also own a Blackberry 8700c. What do you own?
Hello Access_United! Thanks for starting the group on Palms. I wish I could say I currently own a Palm product. I might venture back though. I happened across this when researching Palm Stylus. I happen to have a few left over. If anyone comes across this posting and needs some of the original top quality styli multipacks with quills I have some listed. See the related auction items referenced or look up my listings. You can also send me an email. Take care, Wayne (of Waynester*Gadget).
Hi! Judging for how many Palm products you own, you must have gained quite an amount of know hows. I own a Treo 750. But, I am having a little difficulty with some of the setting it came with. One of this is the alarm. I would like to know which are the applications you think are must haves. Thank you for continuing this discussion, B.
Hi, I just bought a Palm 755 Treo phone because I kept losing my TungstenC and keeping up with PDA and phone was difficult for me. Are the applications you are referring to downloaded to the Palm and does that require internet service? I use my palm strictly for storing addresses and appointments but I want to start taking advantage of more of the functions. Thanksin advance to the group for your replies.
Hello clover114! The applications I was referring to were for the treo 750. The Treo 750 runs on Windows Mobile and the 755p runs on Palm OS, so the software mentioned isn't right for your Treo. I do like the Palm OS calendar. However if you wanted to download an application, I would start with Agendus. You can download it here: http://www.iambic.com/agendus/palmos/ If you find better software, please post it here! Thanks : )
I have my treo 650 with me at all times, red handspring Neo for backup/emergencies, a red handspring visor Edge that I just can't seem to part with, & Mrs. has a red treo 680. My first palm was an orange handspring visor Deluxe - I sold it when I got a treo. :( I've posted a picture of my orange Deluxe....
Thank you for your suggestion for downloads for my Treo 755p. I have had a chance to really get to know my Treo and I have come to realize some of the features that I miss - including repeating alarms. When I try to download from iambic I do not see my device listed as an option. Is there another device that I can click on that is similar to the 755P? If you have a suggestion, I would appreciate it. THANK YOU!
Hello Clover114! Agendus is definitely compatible with your Treo 755p. It states a vague description of all devices compatible with Agendus on their website if you look on this page: http://www.iambic.com/agendus/palmos/?cnt=sysreq When you download and don't your device listed, try using the Treo 700p or the Treo 680. Since they all run on a similar version of Palm OS, it should be compatible with your Treo 755. P.S. I found another application you might like. Its called Datebk6 and you can find it here: http://www.pimlicosoftware.com/datebk6.htm I haven't actually tried it out though. Have a great day!!!!!! : ) -Access_United
Which or your devices do you like best? I've been bidding on a E2 for the last couple weeks and thinking about just buying one straight out. I've been between the E2 and the Blackberry Curve for the last couple months. I really don't want a new contract so I decided to go with the E2.
I have rescently had problems(keypad inop/display out) with my 650. It was a hand me down in faircondition. I really only used it for videos of the kids and a phone. I've replaced keypad twice, now lcd is out. I'd like to repair the phone as it was a freebie to me. I could use help with said problems I bought the 750 and now use web alot. I could use help with the updater, mainly I think active sync boot disc is what I need. I find the 750 much more complex and could use advise of all kinds!
I am much like waynester. I don't actually own one, yet, but am trying to get one on a bid. Right now I own a sprint phone and an Ipaq hx2410. I've been thinking of getting one for awhile and looking here and another site for one. I hope to have one in the next year or two (by the way things are looking these days on the bid side). ;)
Sorry everyone! I have been gone for a while. To answer cappuccino1678's question, the Tungsten E2 is great, but I have been having some problems with the buttons on mine, The powerbutton only works sometimes and the quicklaunch buttons work, but can be a nuisance sometimes. I don't think that this should stop you from buying a Tungsten E2 anyways. I still love mine. As for rtolley1's problem, I believe that you should the Treo should be put away now. The screen costs almost as much as a refurbished Treo 650. I'm glad you're happy with your Treo 750.
Just a random note, but, I don't have the Zire 31 anymore, I sold it along with a HP laptop.
