I have many old holo cards, from when pokemon was fresh out. They are all in perfect condition but from what i gather they are all basically worthless now. would it be better to sell them or hold on to them?

Worthless? No. It depends on what holo cards you have. If you have a Charizard or a Mewtwo they can be worth some good money.
