Yea PokerStars sure does give to thou’s runner, runner type of beats… I noticed that the players are way more aggressive then other sites, good luck trying to bluff because in the $5- $10 tourneys more then 50% of the field are total donkeys and will call with 2nd or 3rd best pair. A few great things about PS is HUGE cheap tourneys, 45-216 Sit-N-Go’s, and great satellites for seats to a weekly Million dollar guaranteed tournament.. As for me, I personally prefer bodog but will return as soon as I forget how bad I was beaten...
I do agree with you guys I play at both sites but the worst beats come from poker stars. I can't count how many times i have poket kk or aa only to get beat either by poket aa or trips if i have aa. However for all of those who are tired of this I read an interesting artilcle. Out of all the poker sites only one has had there computers certified by the united kingdom gaming agency. That is bodog. There computers were found to be completely random some bad beats do happen but it is purely bad luck and it is not nearly as much as poker stars. But in my opinion I think this stuff happens to build pots. The end result is poker stars wants bigger rakes. I try and play mostley sit n go's there do to that reason. don
Hey! I sometimes play at Full Tilt ... It is a good site but for Americans I think Cake Poker and Bodog Poker are better... well here are reviews on each:
I play at pokerstars, and must admit the bad beat thing is quite true in my experiences. The one that sticks out in my memory is going all in on pocket ladies and being drawn out on by deuce/seven off. It makes a person angry, but you have to consider that if these people are staying for those stakes with those rags they are both idiots, and guaranteed to lose their shirts in the long run. Of course that is small compensation when your computer monitor is laying on your back lawn, among gleeming shards of glass after being thrown through your back window. :)
7-2? The must've been me. PS is the ONLY place I will play 7-2. Why? becuase of the bad beat factor, I have won many times with it. Okay, sometimes I bluffed it, but when it hits, oh, what a pretty sight...reading all the typing from the newly tilted player afterwards is funny. However, I gave up on PS. I play on FULLTILT. Bad beats happen, but not as often (or as bad) as PS. Too many players on PS. I signed up for BODOG and plan to play there soon. CAKEPOKER I plan to join in soon. Anyone have anything to say about DOYLESROOM or any other poker sites which are recommendable?
I play on both. They all have bad beats. BTW cake is disgusting I lost $500 instantly from bad beats. I never won a SNG place in an MTT or even cashed out positive from a cash game. Yet I can play with pros on FT and stars and get a positive ROI, when your sitting with 8 bad players all looking to get lucky it's tough to stay alive...
