I need help with my 924

So I've been working on this car since October and I finally got it running but its WAY bogged down. I know to clean the fuel system and to change the timing. One thing wrong, there is no mark in the flywheel to find top dead center. How would you find top-dead center in this case? Plus, is there anything else I need to do before I get the vehicle back on the road. The breaks work and I rotated the tires myself.

What year 924 is it? The approach depends on weather it is the Audi, or Porsche motor.

924.org and 924board.org is the best knowledge base you'll find for the 924. If anyone can help you it's the guys hanging out there.

BTW: there has only been one motor in the 924, and it's the VW/Audi based 2.0 Liter block with light alloy Porsche head in either naturally aspirated or Turbo version. Lot's of different development/market versions of the same engine during the production years though. You'll find all the info in the links above.
