if you look at how much they cost used, you'll see that buying a Porsche is much less difficult then ever before.

I got my 911 for the same price as a brand new Honda civic. It wasn't a very hard decision. But it doesn't mean i've arrived. It means i know a good deal on a great car.

Buying one is like putting money in the bank. Never lost a penny on any of the seventeen I've owned since I was 16.

I'd have to say it's more realistic and affordable than buying a Ferrari or Lambo for a comparable fun. Everyone I hear talk about a Porsche does so out of enjoyment for the car...having that been said, I have a '75 914, Known as "the poor mans porsche" and I enjoy driving it and talking about it as much as those fortunate guys with the $140,000 Porsches, but why hate on them??? "Just be happy for people with nice cars, not mad". P.S. do you even Know "Porsche" is a two syllable word?

AAAAAAH!!!! It's being at one with the car & the road the power the handling that will go by almost any car on the road! You know that favorite stretch of road nice curves your come in down shifting you hit the first turn mash the gas banging them gears going for the next turn! OOOOOH man I'm getting the goose bumps all over me! I'll be back later I got to go for a ride! Like the people at Porsche say '' THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE '' !!!!!!!

I'm still restoring my first porsche and haven't even been able to drive it yet, but I guess when I'm all done it will be worth the wait. I love the look. I have 84 944. Was given to me, so anything invested is all I have in it

Wow!! Ok, lets look at logically. Right now, you can purchase a 88-89 944 turbo stock with under a 100,000 mles in really good shape for about $10,000.
Stock, this car delivers close to 300 bhp at the wheels. Now you drop about another 5000-7000 into the engine and you can increase your horsepower to 400-450 range. With that kind of power with a car just under 3000 lbs. you now have a machine that will rival the fastest production cars detroit or Italy will provide. So, if I can spend lets say even $20,000 tops for this car complete to smoke one with a $60,000-$80,000 range. I would say thats a logical decison. Lastly, the Germans know how to make a car that will ROCK your world. Try it and see.

Only porsche owners understand, although turning a regular street corner at 70 doesn't sound appealing, and actually is a little painful getting slammed into the left edge of the seat, that and much more is possible. My 2800 pound, 510 hp 930 can scare the living daylights out of me, but most of the time I like hearing the engine purr at 4K r.p.m's driving down the road. Shifting into 4th gear at 130 (on track) at 7K rpm only to have the car pull even harder can be a bit intimidating. So what exactly is your question, not enough room?

Just do a search on which brand had historically dominated endurance races and you will have an answer to your question (not including last Sebring 12 Hrs). The best bang for your buck if you plan to keep and enjoy it long term. Definitely "There is no substitude".
