I am researching the feasibility of starting my own ebay store. Does anyone have any suggestions on types of software that is useful?

Any input would be welcome!

I use turbo lister and quick books. I also number my cards with MY number, I have heard too many horror stories about sellers using ebay's numbers and than finding out ebay has switched numbers around.

We sell post cards in our store (as well as about a gajillion other items).

We use Auction Wizard 2000 auction software, and have since 2002. I think there's a 2 month free trial, and then it costs about 50 - $75 per year. The company is amazing!!! The contact guy must do nothing but sit glued to his computer - cuz for 6 years, every question we have had gets answered within an hour by the same guy.

When we are listing bunches of small items, like postcards, or jewelry, we put them in economy zip-lock bags (or cheap envelops) and write the 4-digit Auction Wizard lot# as the id...and file them in numerical order in USPS flat rate boxes. Then we put that same number as a note on the My eBay listing summary.

We absolutely love our eBay store! Over 80% of our sales come from items sitting in the store...most of which cost much less than a buck a year to be parked there!
