Has anyone actually seen these things run? I got one for christmas and from what i read people either trash on em, or talk about what a value they are and fast. This one i got is all aluminum stuff, but i dont know, im still a lil scared to pull the rope (although it has an electric starter too). Any input is valued. And remember, if i dont at least try the wife is probly gona pull my rope :( Thanx
YES MY FIRST NITRO WAS THE ACME CONDOR,1/10 SCALE BUGGY HAD A BAD CLUTCH SPRING RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX.I SOLD IT TO A FRIEND THEN FIXED IT FOR HIM,SO I GOT TO PLAY WITH IT.GREAT ENTRY LEVEL NITRO.I'M NOW INTO 1/8 SAVAGES & LOSI LST'S.I THINK YOU WILL LOVE IT,GREAT WAY TO GET STARTED!!! SO PULL THE ROPE&BURN SOME NITRO!!! LET ME KNOW IF YOU NEED HELP OR HAVE QUESTIONS.
Thanks, i currentyl have it in peices in my shop in the basement. I stripped it down after i read a post that said they have loose hardware problems out of the box. so i am applying locktite to everything, found some hardened steel differential gears to put in, and am just havin some fun playing around with beefing it up a bit. Like i mentioned it does have most all of the aluminum upgrades, and i baught a new one off e-bay with everything but the motor for $20 that i figure was a deal to have for parts and spare tires etc. I wont be able to start it though until it gets warm outside, but im lookin forward to it! Any tips before i start assembling?
HELLO,LIKE I SAID THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAD WAS CLUTCH SPRING.I REPLACED THE CLUTCH BELL,SPRINGS&WEIGHTS.PARTS ARE REALY CHEAP. GO TO RCHIGHSPEED THEY SHOULD HAVE EVERY THING YOU WILL NEED.THERE IS ANOTHER GOOD SOURCE IF I CAN FIND IT I WILL LET YOU KNOW.SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE ON THE RIGHT TRACK,YOUR GOING TO HAVE A BLAST!!!
