Personally, if I were stuck on the proverbial island with only one Stones album, I think I'd want Exile On Main Street. That album has it all, not one bad track on it.
Useful Funny
I Think as well "METAMORPHASIS"
Whatta think?

I saw that show! It seemed to me that the boys were just ripping thru the tunes that night. Jumping Jack Flash was almost speed metal they played it so fast. What did you think of Living Colour?

Sticky Fingers is my essential Stones album, with Tattoo You a close second and Exile on Main Street a definite gem.

I cant argue with anybodys choices, I almost chose Sticky fingers myself, so I'll make it my second choice and Get Yer Ya Ya's out my third.

Living Colour was ok (knowing Stones were upcoming) had floor seats, mid stadium KY. Beer lines were loooong, Port a pots were bad.
Caught me off guard with the Glimmer Twins post. Been a Long Long While reading as to such; a refresh would be appreciated.
Thanks, joe

To be honest with you I dont think I have ever seen an explaination of why they were called the glimmer twins. I have read several books and countless articles, on the Stones but have never read anything about this.

Hey Joe, After my last post I got on wikipedia and entered The glimmer Twins. this is the explaination they gave; In 1969 Mick and Keith with their girlfriends at the time, went on a cruise to Brazil. While onboard they ate dinner with an older couple who wasnt sure who Mick and Keith were. They made several requests to try to get them to reveal themselves but Mick and Keith refused to tell. Finally the elderly woman, said-Oh just give us a glimmer( meaning a hint). They were so amused by this, that they began refering to themselves as the Glimmer Twins. So there you have it.

You in to vinyl Joe? I used to have about 400 vinyl albums, but gave them to a friend who is really in to it. Was going to try to sell them, but decided to just give them to my music junkie friend. I knew he'd take care of my babys.
