hope you win the starwind 19 bid. I own the boat= actually I had one andsold it to move up--missed it so much that I went out and bought another one. I now own 5 sailboats and plan on selling a couple but I'll keep the 19 --I sail it on Lake Geneva Wis . Lake michigan and almost every summer tow it to Door County...good solid boat..
I have not sailed in about twenty years and am ready to buy a boat again (under twenty feet and something that I can take on a trailer). Any suggestions? I've looked at a Capria (14.2) on ebay and a Hobie Holder. Thanks for your thoughts.
Hi -- just picked up this discussion and interested in the Starwind. You are apparently a big fan of the boat! I'm from Janesville and have spent some time on Geneva, which is also where I'd like to do some sailing in the near future. I presently have a Boston Whaler Harpoon 5.2 that has not been out in a few years and I'm looking for a manageable/fun weekender-type boat. Any comments on the Starwind sailing experience, Geneva Lake sailing/launch recommendations/issues (problems getting in an out anywhere on the lake? how is Linn landing? where would you recommend putting in?) Thanks for your time!
