Aloha Everyone. That's a very interesting question. I have been watching NBA ever since about 1984-1985. I can remember watching Dr.J(Who was my favorite, Still one of them though), Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan and the rest of the greats of the NBA, But, The one who i really liked and looked up to was Mr.David Robinson. This man not only amazed me by his talent on the court, But, He stole my attention by the way he carried himself. To me David Robinson is the perfect role model(right under JESUS) that every kid in the world should look up to, Because, First of all his love of GOD, Second, His love for his Country and then his character. So that's what started all for me being a San Antonio Spurs fan. Then GOD blessed us again with Mr. Tim Duncan, But that's another story in itself... Thank you LORD JESUS!!!. I have been a fan since 1991 when I was in first grade. The Spurs made it to the playoffs that year which was a big thing. My entire family has always been fans. Also, my parents were born in and grew up in SA.
David Robinson is a great man – a man after God's own heart. I loved how, after Friday night games, he would do a youth event on the Spurs court and, if I had been just a little quicker, I would have had his autograph. He tried to get Tim Duncan to come out and speak to all the youth after the game the time I went.
