Who wants to be Dear Scrabby? Did you know that the average scrapbooker in America is a woman between the ages of 30 and 50? 87% of us have a college degree and the majority of us enjoy scrapbooking as a creative outlet. Those are 2004 statistics that I ran across in a $250.00 book published by Creating Keepsakes Magazine. So is a novice 30 something, the intermediate scrapbooker is in her forties and the really Big Girls like me are pushing 50? How old are you? Would you like to join a Crop Club based on your age or your level of creative juices?

I would love to be a part of this group also! But, I might be a little old at 59. I would love to learn some new techniques to use on my premade pages I sell.

You are never too old to work on a project if you are interested and enjoy the time and results!

What are you using for tools tight now? I have a Sizzix and a Cricut to help but I am new to both so still at the very basic stage. I also have many Creative Memories tools and can use them effectively in my books!

Do you have a plan for right now or a special topic that you would like to start... it looks like it might be the 2 of us for a while...

By the way I am in NH, how about you?

Hi, sorry for the delay in answering, but I was out of town.

I also have a Sizzix and a Sidekick, a Cricut (that my daughters bought me for Christmas), a Xyron No Limits (to put adhesives on my lettering, die cuts, etc.), Scrapbook Factory Deluxe & Creative Keepsake Creative Lettering software programs, and Creative Memories Cutting system and patterns. I only use Creative Memories tape runners, both regular & mini.

As far as a topic, why don't you pick one for us to do, anything is fine with me.

I live in Crossville, TN now, but was born and raised in Middletown, OH. My name is Cyndi.

Hi Cyndi!
I'm Florence, it's nice to connect...What about doing a winter project or fall project? I have pictures to scrap for both even though my fall may look more like summer as my roses bloomed in late Sept and Oct!

Do you want to share pictures or actual send borders and projects? I am up for either.

I am up for what your needs are also. Looks like we are the only two here for now, but I am ok with that, and maybe some others will join us later.

Write soon.

Hi Florence,

How about a winter project. We don't get a lot of snow here, but we did in Ohio!

I know what you meant about the flowers this past fall. Infact, a couple of weeks ago, my daylillies started to pop up. We went to Paris Landing State Park in northwest Tennessee last week for an Agritourism Conference (we own a Christmas Tree Farm and Nursery) and their daffodills were up about 4".

Would you like to do cards, scrapbook pages, or something else? I'm open for any new ideas! I put the item number for one of my pages in my store if you would like to take a look at it. Item number: 130191910806 They are snowboarding pages. I have only been scrapping for about a year, but I think I'm getting a little better. I love the Heidi Swapp "Ghost" snowflakes I used on these pages! I have a couple of snowflake backgrounds in digital form if you would like them, I'm not sure about borders, but I will look. I usually make my own borders. I do have the Sizzlits Forest border die, the Extended Cuts Ski Lift w/Lodge, and the Extended Cuts Mountains border dies. I also have about 6 different Sizzix & Sizzlets snowflake dies. If you would like me to cut any of those and mail them to you I can.

Hi Jodi and welcome. We would love to have you, the more the merrier. We were discussing what we wanted to do. Sounds like you are the most experienced scrapper here! Do you have any preference for a theme? By the way, I'm Cyndi. Mother of three and grandmother of seven.

Hi Jodi,
I'm Florence! Welcome to the talk!!!

I was thinking about some cards and borders... we have a lot of snow here in NH.
But we could also do some additions for pages and just mail them to each other to use in our designs. I can't wait to see your page and will look at it in a few minutes!!

I am a full-time Special Education Teacher in a public school and attend college full time this final semester for an alternative certificate.. so it keeps me busy, but I am thrilled to have found some friends to share items and ideas with.

my direct e-mail is ffk63@metrocast.net

I have a Sizzix tree (pine) that I can make an share with some snow adornments. Plus I have some really cute winter stickers I can share.

I will make a layout and try to scan it and send to you this week...
Blessings for a great day

Hi Cyndi,
I just visited your store! You are great at making pages! I didn't realize you had so many talents!! My Sizzix tree is still different than the ones I have here and I also have a cornucopia if you would like some of those... looks like you need to start adding cards to your store with the die-cuts...

Lookng forwwad to hearing from you.

Hi Florence, it looks like you have your plate full! I always wanted to be a teacher and work with handicapped children. Unfortunately when I was in school, scholarships were hard to get and my family had no money (my father died when I was 14). So, like many others, I became a housewife.

Thank you for your nice comments about my pages. I am still learning. But with the Christmas Tree Farm, the nursery, helping my husband with his tax business, my eBay store, and making my pages, I don't have a lot of time.

I will work on a layout too. I don't have a scanner large enough to scan 12x12, so I will take a digital photo and send to you.
