I wonder where to go skiing this year? Austria? France? Switzerland? Germany? Norway?

Any recommendations for recently developed or improved skiing areas?

How about Mont-Blanc?
Board of France, Italy and Swiss.
Look this place - Les Gets (France), Les Chamonix (France)

les arcs is fantastic, la plagne, courcheval is excellent, Europe in 2008 will have the best skiing conditions than anytime in the last decade.

Hi, I should think that with the US dollar being so severely devaluated by our not so illustrious government that skiing in the US would be a tremendous bargain for our friends in Europe.
I am an east coast resident, and we have been getting several feet of light fluffy powder already this year, so skiing out here is stellar, if you don't mind skiing only 700 meters of vertical drop.
Of course, the best skiing is in Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, etc. , and British Columbia! Younger mountains, just like the Alps, and no language barriers. I've skied Zermat, Sestriere, Gstad, Chamonix, etc, yet still love Jackson Hole, Snowbird/Alta, Whistler/Blackombe.
