I believe when Warner Brothers was allowed to do a series on Superman, it was with the stipulation that there would be "no tights, no flights" for Clark Kent. They have bent those rules slightly (Kal-El flew, not Clark), but don't look for Clark to take off anytime soon. Sorry. Ken.
I believe this 8th and LAST season of smallville we will see clark kent fly! If the series allowed bizarro to fly and supergirl too, why not clark kent??? lets hope for the best.
I have contended on another website my belief that Clark will first fly to save Lois. According to Jor El he sees himself as human and that keeps him on the ground. I think he'll overcome that obstacle when flying is the last resort, not super speed or jumping an 8th of a mlie. Wait for Lois to fall out of an airplane or off of a building. Maybe they will recreate the scene from Superman the Movie; catch Lois, catch helicopter; it's Miller time!
