I know a lot of people out there are fans of the Star Wars expanded universe. I just finished reading the final installment of the Legacy of the Force story arc. Don't want to give anything away yet, but if anyone wants to share their thoughts I'd love to discuss it!
One thing I will say...the next Star Wars novel is due out in December. It is called Star Wars: Millenium Falcon. If you read Invincible, the blurb on this book is in the back. Any thoughts on this?
OK, I've finished it. Pretty good. I liked the ending and it absolutley leaves it open for the story to continue. Jason's death was a little sad, but he deserved it. The only thing that bothers me is that they seem to be turning Jaina into a possible looney with the whole never having a life because she is the sword of the Jedi. We'll see. Otherwise a good read.
The thing that I am most curious about is how far they will take the original characters. I mean, they are all in their 60's at this point. Boba Fett is like 70 and still hunting! I know that in the Star Wars world people can live into their 150's, but eventually they will run out of topics. The next book, Millenium Falcon, takes place six months or so after this legacy of the force series. Pretty soon the timeline of the original characters will run into the legacy comic series! I guess the morbid side of me is curious as to how all of the originals die (although R2-D2 makes a cameo in the legacy comic series...so we know R2 is kicking around for a couple hundred years).
Anyway, I just read another Star Wars novel...Coruscant Nights. This is to be a series of books set between the two trilogies. It will follow the adventures of minor characters from the movies and expanded universe. Very good read as well!
I just read sacrafice and dude Jason is unbeleivable! I actually cried lol when I read where luke felt Mara pass. And his audacity to tell Ben "we'll get who did this!" I wanted to strangle him myself! Karen Travis was given the duty to write Maras demise and as far as I'm concerned, She did a bang up job!!! Cant wait to catch up to you.
